Minutes for Unit 509 Board Meeting:

Attended: Jane Bender, Jan Conklin, Maxine Reagh, Mimi Armstrong, Tony Jackson, Cathy Wagener, Karen Weissberg (via speaker phone) Kathy Venton
Sectional: Maxine reported the Sectional was a great success. A net profit of $1,279.43 was made and there were no glitches. Saturday there were 39 tables in the morning and 34 in the afternoon. Sunday there were 26 tables in the morning and afternoon. Tony moved to make a deposit for the Spring and Fall sectionals at Odd Fellows. Maxine seconded.
Treasurer’s Report: Balance as of October 15, 2018 is $7,650.96 (see attached). Karen moved approval as submitted and Tony seconded.
Holiday Party: The party is slated to start at 10:30 a.m. but Mimi has still not heard back from the Quail Inn regarding the serving time. It was suggested that the serving time should be 10:45 a.m. followed by the annual meeting and Bridge game to follow. Karen will send out an e-blast to unit 509 members only. Mimi will email Karen a word doc of the details. Cecelia will put the party in the newsletter and send it out the end of the first week in November.
Unit Games: Tony distributed a proposed unit game schedule. The games are all on Sundays at 1:00 p.m. with the June 9 and August 11 games being held in Petaluma.
Kathy is hoping to have Barbara Seagram at the November unit game. Mimi moved approval of the schedule. Jan seconded.
Board Meeting Days: Tony suggested the Board meetings be changed to the first Monday of the month. This will be discussed with new Board members in January.
Next Meeting: November 19, 2018.
