BBO Casual Games

To play online duplicate games you need to LOG ON to Bridge Base Online. If not a member, register. To get started playing casual games, you can:

  • Play with a specific partner: Click on CASUAL > I have a partner. Take us to a table. Then type in your partner’s username and send the invitation)
  • Join an open table : Click on CASUAL > take me to the first seat available)
  • Join a table in the Relaxed Bridge Club or the Main Bridge Club: Click on CASUAL > Select the one you prefer and click on SIT in any available seat
  • Start a table with 3 robots: Click on CASUAL > Start a table with your partner and play against 2 robots While you are playing you can click on the History tab to check your scores and results The scores you see in the History panel reflect the comparison of your results with the rest of the field and they are dynamic because every time the board is played by a new table it affects the scoring of the rest. You will be able to understand why you are assigned a given score selecting a board and clicking on Other tables to see the comparative results.
  • Start a table with friends: To start a table with friends the first thing you need to do is define one another as friends. To do that click on the People tab > Friends and add each other’s names in the bottom left of the panel. Now, every time you log in the system will show if your friends are online.
    • It is really very easy to set up a table . Click on CASUAL > Click on Start a table >
    • Select the type of scoring (it is set to IMPs by default but you can click on the downward arrow and choose the type of scoring you prefer
    • In the privacy options turn on “permission required play
    • In the Reserve Seats field type in the username on each seat and punch OK.
    • Then click on Start Table -relaxed game and sit in the South seat Your friends will receive an invitation to join – they need to be online and in the Casual server – and when they accept the system will sit each of them in their place and the game will start when 4 players join the game.
    • To join a table manually, a player can right-click on your name on his friends’ list and select “Join table”.
